More Oregon with 50mm
The colors!!! Love how the moss on the table looks. Kate is a bit out of focus but I love that mossy wood!
I thought this was going to be the money shot. On my monitor it appeared clear and sharp and the worm gave it character. It's fuzzy except for her eye. This is where a tripod would come in, that or something to freeze the child. The background is nicely blurred but no contrast unfortunately; it's the same color as Kate's hair.

Oregon pics
Love this one. Good colors considering how bright it was out. The background is blurred but recognizable, he is sharp enough. Love that hat!
Yet another of Kate not looking. I like how her hair came out though, and her skin looks fresh and not shadowy.
Kind of a weird expression but look at that eye! Why can't she just look, and why can't the eyes always come out like that??? Of course her hair was a disaster but lets not try to act like that's not typical. Anyway, nice blurred background, a brighter green could provide more contrast but that's what photoshop is for one of these days when I can even think about that...
Fun picture, Kate loved the little stream that ran below this bridge. Nothing too special about this one other than I like it and the colors are vibrant.
Matthew is looking!!! I had hoped the mossy rock would be a little more blurred and bright, but, Matthew posed!!! I meant to post one that's similar but cleaner, but this is the style I hope to perfect, then I'll move onto something else.

These were all taken with the 35-128 lens. I could put more info on each picture but that would take some research. I think I should though as how else will I remember what works and what doesn't? Maybe later I'll get to that.

My favorite from the outing. I love the expression, there is personality in this shot. I also like the way he appears somewhat sharp, I wish his face was more focused but his eyes are somewhat at least. I love the green behind him, I want more shots to come out like this. Matthew is hard to photograph so getting a good one of him is rewarding. It's a little fuzzier all around than I want.
ahhhhh!!!
Fiddling around with the settings on the camera, not quite the results I was hoping for. I altered the white balance, used the "twilight/cloudy" setting (the sun was setting and it was a gray day), they appear overexposed. Plus I am still having a hard time with the new lens.
The stick appears to be in focus but not Sam. I am having a hard time with this little lens, the kids just don't stay still long enough. Plus I am so dependent on the image stabilizer on the big lens, maybe that's the problem as I didn't think to lug the tripod along on our walk.
I altered the parameters and upped the saturation, holy pink sweatshirt! A bit much as it appears to glow. I do like what it did to the grass though. Awful picture!
