Trying out the 50mm f/1.8, hoping for clearer pictures of kids with nice fuzzy backgrouds. The fuzz (bokeh) is there but not so much the clarity I am wanting. It was getting dark too, hard to get shots in the afternoon when the sun goes down at 4! Also hard when the kids don't want to look at you:(

Love the natural light, that always looks best. You are lucky to live where it is overcast so much, you can shoot any time of day when it is like that. I think these are great, kids in focus with the good bokah for the background. I need a new lens, fo shizzle.
good catchlights with Kate's eyes! I just read about the best ways to get those but have already forgotten... I need to reread that book before I send it to you.
